What people are saying about Lance Brown for President:
"I've been reading some of the political content at freedom2008.com, and find it damn interesting. "I am nominally a Democrat, but have never been seriously politically active, mainly because I'm fed up with a lot of what the major parties say and do. ...you could say I'm looking for an intelligent alternative.
"I'm not ready to declare myself a Libertarian, but your site piques me and makes me think. And that's (at least) half the battle.
"Very interesting."
-- Kurt B., Allentown, Pa.
"Wow I am amazed and joyous! Your views are just what
this country needs! I am going to spread the word about your campaign." --
Elizabeth
Ward
"I read every article posted on your site and was
amazed to find myself repeatedly saying 'Wow, I agree with that.'"
"I'm pro-Lance as long as I'm not also running for prez" -
-- Mojo Nixon, entertainer and revolutionary
"You are probably this country's last chance at
freedom in this lifetime."
-- ¡Obay!
"I stumbled upon your website and it is
WONDERFUL. You can count on MY VOTE and MY SUPPORT in 2008!!!"
-- Alan Handleman,
Grayson, KY
"This is the blog belonging to my former boss and aspiring President of the United States. I remain pledged to moving to Ireland if he actually wins but still it's an interesting site."
-- Adam Graham, Boise, Idaho
"I just want to take a minute to tell you that we
really do appreciate your writing over here. I find the state of this country so outrageous that I mostly sit around pulling my hair out and fantasizing about Canada. But, incredibly, you don't stew! It's like you're on a whole other plane.
"It's so easy to lose sight of reality with all that glare from the fancy magic show illusions of our 'two' party system. Seriously. Your message is hopeful and real."
-- Kristen Werner, Rollinsford, N.H.
The Bill of Rights Defense Committee movement -- my favorite political movement of the new millenium -- is gaining the big press now. Front page of the New York Times, no less.
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., Dec. 20 — Nearly two dozen cities around the country have passed resolutions urging federal authorities to respect the civil rights of local citizens when fighting terrorism. Efforts to pass similar measures are under way in more than 60 other places.
While the resolutions are largely symbolic, many of them provide some legal justification for local authorities to resist cooperating in the federal war on terrorism when they deem civil liberties and Constitutional rights are being compromised.

Friends,
There are Detention Camps in America, & plans to use them. Perhaps for worse than temporary incarceration. And not just for "foreigners".
US Detention Camp Link: http://www.prisonplanet.com/analysis_louise_200103_internment.html
It doesn't take much imagination to conjecture a terror attack here soon. And if 9-11 was any guide, the Bush opportunists will do anything they can get away with, when terror strikes again. If they have the troops and the camps, what is going to stop them from using them? Human decency? Regard for the Constitution & the rule of law? Common sense?
If you accept the number of facilities, & do a rough estimate of their holding capacity, this comes out to about 12 million Americans under detention, & the capability to execute millions in weeks. These camps have a detention capacity about 6 times the current US prison population,
and are often kept staffed & ready, but with no prisoners. In in a time of critical prison overcrowding, what are these camps being prepared for?
Missing in my understanding is what forces or rules will prevent roundups, detention, & executions from happening, once the order
"Rex 84" is given. Imagine a horrible attack here, like a biowar or low yield nuclear attack. In the wake of panic & martial law, what would stop the Bush/National Security/ Corporate War profiteers from carrying out detentions & executions en masse? The profits from seized assets & forced labor in the first 6 months would be several hundred billion dollars.
Certainly enough to grease the skids for the overthrow of the country, as Hitler did. First the "terrorist" burning of the Reichstag, then the liquidation of internal "enemies", then the distribution of their assets, and the employment of the survivors in the business of the Third Reich. If you read about those times, Germans were both fearful, and pleased with the rise in employment, and their standard of living that occurred in the first year or so of the Holocaust. Also, they felt "safe" from the communists, and "terrorists" when Hitler, in collaboration with German and Allied corporations, established a dictatorship in Germany. Later, the Germans were not so pleased, but by then it was too late.
Hyperbole? I hope so.
Perhaps the happy ending here starts with a massive distribution of the details of the camps, the FEMA orders & preparations, so people are aware BEFORE the next terror attack occurs. And can take action to put this genie back in the bottle.
This is a critical issue for communities, and the Bill of Rights Defense Committees that are springing up. I asked a police officer friend what he would do if I called the police, because
a UN Army local area commander was going to take me away. He didn't know. These are the kind of points that need to be talked about now, not after the next terror attack, and martial law. Please pass this letter or link on to everyone you know, get back to me with your thoughts on this.
US Detention Camps Note: It's easy for moderate people to be turned off by this subject, which sounds fantastic, unlikely. I have read many other pages, which range from laughable, to truly disturbing. Google FEMA internment and FEMA wackenhut to learn more. As well as checking the links & sub links in the "US Detention Camps" link above. Lot of sites in California. 29 Palms. Vandenburg. Fort Ord, among others. Check the link for the site nearest you. Look for the fresh barbed wire. Pointing inward.
I would like to get some first hand info on this,
photos and publicity/legal/direct action. Like
publicized protests.
