Petition to Howard Dean on clarifying Israel position

I don't think I'm going to sign this, primarily because of the sentence that begins with "Dr. Dean, we respect and fully support your agenda to...", but if you're a Dean supporter or Democrat enthusiast, I recommend signing this. The Israel-Palestine playing field is already tilted more than enough.

Petition to Howard Dean

To: Dr. Howard Dean

As members of the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party, The Green Party, Progressives, Independents, and other parties interested in your candidacy, we would like to express our deep reservations regarding your stated positions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Based on speeches and interviews given last year and early this year, you spoke often of the Israeli victims of terror, yet you failed to acknowledge the three-fold number of Palestinian civilians who have been killed by the Israeli Defense Forces, or the Israeli military's incursion and illegal occupation of large portions of the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem. These incendiary actions by the Israeli military have fueled much of the animosity in the region, and they must be acknowledged in any fair assessment of the situation....

I've signed it because all of these candidates need to know they are losing votes when they take 30 pieces of silver from AIPAC. Dean changed his tune (slightly) because of this petition. He backtracked when attacked by Pelosi, Berman, and the ADL. You would think these neocons in Democratic clothing were elected by Israel, not American citizens. They serve Israel with more vigor and tenacity than their constituent states.

When you have terrorist's killing the civilians of a country with one of the best armed forces in the world, I think it would be quite normal that the death tally's would be in Israel's favor. The military incursions are necessary to fight terrorism. After the WTC bombing, we saw that Al Queda was based and trained in Afghanistan and eliminated this terrorist haven. Same thing. These are disputed territories won by Israel in a war forced upon her. There is nothing illegal about it. The petition say's that Israel, in defending herself, had "fueled animosity in the region". Yeah sure, because the Arab countries have alway's wanted the destruction of Israel and when the jews don't just sit down and die, they get upset. Anti-semitism today has turned into the denial of Israel's right to exist in the community of nations.
